Fabrics those have stripes and checks patterns are normally weaved using dyed yarns i.e. yarn dyed fabric. (Though check and stripe patterns can be made by printing). Secondly, a multi color woven designs in fabric mostly yarn dyed.
A yarn dyed fabric is one where both the warp yarn and also the weft yarn are pre-dyed before being warped and also being woven into the weft. This gives an excellent clean color without having to re-dye in spots or having to over-dye because of the absorption of a few warps or wefts that haven’t absorbed the piece dyeing equally and have an abnormal dyed area on the cloth. Piece dyeing is not as perfect as yarn dyeing as the latter can always be corrected prior to either the warping or the weaving of the weft yarns and is usually a much cleaner dyeing than piece dyeing. Lastly it is easier to inspect prior to the completion of a weaving order as taking samples of the dyed yarns prior to the cloth production means that one has the opportunity of correcting a dye-bath prior to weaving the whole order in advance and then having to dye prior to the finishing of the cloth on order.
